Born in Damascus, Syria, Ammar Abd Rabbo has lived in France since the age of 12.

A former student of “Sciences Po Paris”, he worked for various press agencies and produced numerous reports, mainly in the Arab world.

Journalist and photographer, he has signed more than sixty covers for very different magazines such as “Paris Match”, “Der Spiegel”, “Le Point”, “Laha”, “M, le Magazine du Monde”…

While not calling himself a “war reporter”, and keen to cover events as different as the Cannes Film Festival or Paris Fashion Week, as well as many portraits, he covered the conflicts in Bosnia, Iraq , in Libya and carried out several assignments in Syria, in 2013 and 2014.

His photos following the explosion at the port of Beirut have just been exhibited in Dubai, under the title “To Beirut…”
